    Kenly – Donnie Carrol Massey, age 72, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, May 29, 2020, in Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh.

    He was born a son of the late Charles Patrick Massey and Lela Ingram Massey on August 12, 1947, in Johnston County.

    Donnie was the pastor of Faith Free Will Baptist Church in Four Oaks for 20 years, he was a very Godly man who loved serving the Lord and caring for the People of God. He loved playing golf, fishing, and hunting turkey but most importantly he loved his family. He graduated from Princeton high school in the class of 1965 and went on to study at the Carolina Bible Institute in Pine Level. He also studied heating and air conditioning and ran his own company, M&M heating and cooling for many years. Donnie also served his country proudly in the United States Army. He is preceded in death by his brother, Billy Massey and his sister, Helen Butts.

    A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 1, 2020, at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service beginning at 2:00 P.M. The burial will take place following the service in Kenly Cemetery.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Mrs. Dianne Cooper Massey; daughter, Lynnette Wasilewski and husband Chris Wasilewski of Kenly; grandchildren, Cameron Dae O’Briant, Alex O’Briant, Sabrina Wasilewski, C.J. Wasilewski and wife Samantha, Paige Bohne and husband Jeremy; great grandchildren, Connor Bohne and Remi Wasilewski. brothers, James Massey and Jerry Massey; sisters, Margaret Wiggs, Jessie Smith, Betty Dale Martin, and Joann Creech.

    In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Faith Free Will Baptist Church in the care of Cecil Lee at 8 Hockaday Rd. Four Oaks, NC 27524 or the Carolina Bible Institute at 423 E. Pine St. Selma, NC 27576.
