Smithfield – Sidney Donald “Donny” Wise, age 46, died Saturday, September 15, 2018 in Wilson. Born May 11, 1972 in Wayne County he was the son of Judy Carolyn Jernigan and the late Sidney Dearl Wise. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marvin and Christine Wise; maternal grandparents, Raymond and Elma Jernigan; uncles, Hugh John Jernigan and David P. Jernigan; and aunt, Annie Jewel McCullen.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his sister, Beth Gore and husband David of Wilson; niece, Courtney King and husband Andy; great nephew, Max King; great niece, Ellie King; aunts, Phyllis Futrell and husband Glenn of Raleigh and Billie Ingram of Newton Grove; uncles, Ted Jernigan and wife Karen of Goldsboro, and Kenneth Jernigan and wife Karen of Rosewood; and special friends, Jennifer Thornton, Carol Raynor Beasley, and Joni Harper Santoro.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
