Smithfield – Dora Bizzell Lee, 91, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020. She was born November 2, 1928 in Wayne County to the late Thurman Bizzell and Lillie Woodard Bizzell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Daniel Lee; her brothers, Kenneth Bizzell and Harold Bizzell; and sisters, Kathleen Bizzell and Lois Johnson.
Dora was a faithful member of West Calvary Free Will Baptist Church. She was loved by everyone who knew her. Dora was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whom she loved very much.
She is survived by her son, James (Danny) Lee (Becky) of Benson; sisters, Louise Barnes of Selma, Virginia Creech of Pine Level and Margie Batten (Morris) of Oxford; grandchildren, Teresa Fiske of Angier and Garrett Lee (Patti) of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Christian Fiske, Alexis Fiske, Kaitlyn Lee and Campbell Lee.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening, February 28, 2020 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Ricky Ham officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Friday just prior to the service. Burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens in Smithfield.
