Selma – Doris Lucille Barnes Jones, age 90, passed away at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield April 27, 2019. Born February 9, 1929 in Johnston County to the late Benjamin and Elizabeth Barnes. In addition to her parents Mrs. Jones is also preceded in death by nine siblings. A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday April 30, 2019 at 11 AM with Rev. Joseph Balance officiating. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home from 10 AM – 11 AM. Mrs. Jones is survived by her husband C.F Jones Jr. of Selma; Son Dan Jones and wife Laura of Selma; Daughter Donna Wilson and husband Gary of Selma; Grandson Daniel Jones and fiancé Michele of Selma. Mrs. Jones was an avid gardener and also enjoyed quilting and fishing with her family. In addition to flowers memorial contributions can be sent to the SECU Hospice House P.O.
