Smithfield—Dorothy Godwin “Dot” Langston, 87, of Castle Drive passed away on July 27, 2017. Born in Johnston County on January 3, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Loyd M. and Mattie Lancaster Godwin. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, James Edmond “J.E.” Langston in 2007.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday July 29, 2017 in the chapel of Underwood Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM and at other times at the home of Debbie and Jim Austin, 601 Polenta Road, Smithfield, NC 27577.
Surviving are; son, Jay E. Langston and wife Katy of Garner; daughters, Debbie L. Austin and husband Jim of Smithfield, Amy Lee Langston of Smithfield; granddaughter, Rosa Fattahi of Charlotte.
