Dorothy Louise Watkins Stephenson, age 90, died Monday, February 27, 2017 in Barbour Court Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born November 8, 1926 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Eula Jones Watkins. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Stephenson; son, Jerry Wayne Stephenson; grandson, Jerry “Wayne” Stephenson, Jr.; six sisters; and one brother. Dorothy was a member of Oakland Presbyterian Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 3, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Fuquay-Varina. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. Friday just prior to the service.
Surviving are her grandson, Michael Stephenson of Smithfield; and one sister, Carolyn of Selma.
