Smithfield- Dottie Pendergrass Kelly, age 86, passed away Saturday August 24, 2019. Born in Orange County June 30, 1933 to the late Dewey and Lottie O’ Briant Pendergrass. Mrs. Dottie is also preceded in death by husband, Ernest Kelly, and daughter in law Jean Clarke. Mrs. Dottie is survived by Sons, James Ray Clarke, Jr. and wife Cathleen of WV, Donald Clarke and wife Rhonda of Kernersville, Dicky Clarke and wife Cammy of Selma, Gary Clarke and wife Pat of SC, Randy Clarke, Steve Clarke and wife Jane of Wilton; Daughters, Kathy Holbrook of Four Oaks, Debra Holloman and husband Bobby of Selma; 12 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. A private graveside service will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be sent to North Carolina Stroke Association, 2000 W 1st St, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
