SELMA, NC – Edna Mae Miller Deitz, age 90, died Sunday, February 19, 2017 in WakeMed of Raleigh. She was born January 20, 1927 in Columbia County, NY to the late William Washington and Mabel Young Miller. Edna was an active member of the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Smithfield, NC for more than 20 years.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 23, 2017 in the St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with the Rev. Jim Melnyk officiating. The family will receive friends follow the service in the Parish Hall.
Surviving are her husband of 69 years, John H. “Jack” Deitz; son, John H. Deitz of Poughkeepsie, NY; daughter, Joanne Miller Davidson of Selma; brother, Roland Boyd Miller and wife Carol Lee of Copake, NY; sister, Ann Louise VanDuesen and husband Arnold of Clavorick, NY; grandson, Donald William Davidson, III and three great grandsons.
