Edward Lee “Ed” Britt, 75, of Princeton passed away at Liberty Commons Rehab Center in Benson on Thursday, April 26, 2018. He was born February 3, 1943 to the late Lenard Britt and Margaret Mariah Howell Britt. The funeral service will be held on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 5:00 pm in Casey Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. The burial will take place in Princeton Cemetery.
Ed was a 1961 graduate of Princeton High School. He attended ECU and then went on to graduate from Campbell University with a bachelor’s degree in education and then taught school in the Johnston County School System. He was a member of Princeton Baptist Church.
He is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Elmer Britt and wife, Marie of Greenville; niece, Jennifer Dupree and husband, John; and 2 great nieces, Olivia Dupree and Charlotte Dupree; among the many cousins, a very special cousin, Joyce Barnes.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until 5:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Casey Funeral Home Chapel.
Although flowers are welcome, the family suggests that contributions be made to Princeton Baptist Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
