Elbert “Glenn” Boykin, 62, died unexpectedly at his home on December 3, 2019.
Glenn was born in Wake County to the late Elbert and Sylvia Boykin. He graduated from Garner High School in 1976 and retired from NC State Government as a law enforcement officer with 30 years of service.
Glenn was a loving devoted father to three children. He is survived by his Daughter; Summer Boykin Barbour and husband Chris, Sons; Lindsie and Leslie Boykin. He has two beautiful grandchildren, Joseph (Butterbean) and Lilly Mae (Miss Fancy) that were his whole world. Also surviving are his Brother; Wayne Boykin, Sister; Lisa Boykin Roberts, as well as several nieces. In addition, he left behind his four legged companion & recliner buddy, Otis.
His family has chosen to honor his personal request and not have a formal service.
