Selma – Elbert Preston Little, age 75, passed away Thursday November 11, 2021 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Johnston County on November 5, 1946 to the late Lumus and Thelma Wiggs Little. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Little.
A funeral service will be conducted in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday November 16, 2021 at 3 PM with pastor Jerry Barbee officiating. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2 PM to 3 PM. Burial will follow the service in Little Family Cemetery.
Mr. Little is survived by wife, Connie Bishop Little of the home; son, Darrell Little of Selma; daughter, Kimberly Reed and partner Chris of Greenville; sister, Linda Matthews and husband Curtis of Four Oaks; nieces and nephews, Jeannette Blackman, Curtis Matthews Jr., Amy Morris, Jamie Livengood and Kenneth Joyner Jr; best friend, his dog Smokey.
Mr. Little enjoyed fishing, car racing, karaoke and playing guitar. He worked at Pine Level Hardware Store for nearly 20 years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Parrish Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
