Elbert Ray Stallings, age 87, passed away on April 22, 2020 at his home in Selma, North Carolina. Born on June 5, 1932, he was the first son of the late James Leslie and Ola Starling Stallings of Selma, North Carolina. Elbert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War from 1953 until 1955 where he received an Honorable discharge.
A graveside service will be held in Selma Memorial Gardens officiated by Glen Brock and Ricky Anderson.
Elbert was preceded in death by his wife Bernice Dance Stallings and his brother James Edward Stallings. He is survived by his daughter Pamela Maynor and husband Richard (Dicky) of Selma; daughter Sharon Crowell and husband David of Selma; son Steven Stallings and wife Vicky of Selma; three nephews; two grand-daughters; one grand-son; one step-grandson; two great-grand-daughters; two great-grand-sons; one great-great-grand-daughter, one great-great-grand-son.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to 3HC Home Health and Hospice Care, Inc., 821 N. Brightleaf Blvd, Smithfield, NC 27577 in honor of Elbert Stallings.
