Elizabeth “Lib” Gurkin, 85, of Smithfield, NC joined her parents in heaven on January 16, She was born in Raleigh, NC on July 30, 1933. She retired as Vice President of First National Bank of Greenville, SC and enjoyed 35 years of retirement. She was a member of the Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church and became a life master in ACBL. She is survived by her husband, James; her sons, Charles and Rick; her daughters-in-law, Cindy and Gail; fifteen grandchildren; and numerous great grandchildren and cousins. Visitation at Parrish Funeral Home at 10 AM Friday, January 18, 2019. Funeral to follow at 11 AM and graveside services and burial at 1 PM at Montlawn Cemetery in Raleigh, NC.
