Coats, NC: Mrs. Ethel Lou Mitchell Lamm, age 87, passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2021at Harnett Wood Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Dunn. A Graveside Service will be held 2:00PM-Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Angier.
Mrs. Lamm was born on January 8, 1934 in Harnett County to the late Bernice “Bunny” and Rebeth Parrish Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Lamm; a granddaughter, Sharon Merritt; and a sister, Gaynell Young. She was a homemaker and member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving include her children, Sybil Norris and husband, Bobby of Angier, Nancy Mabry of Angier, Millard “Dickie” Lamm and husband, Michael Hall of Wiesbaden, Germany, Mickey Lamm and wife, Michelle of Coats, Bill Lamm and wife, Karen of Erwin; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
There will be an open door closed casket visitation from 12:00PM to 5:00PM on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats. The family will not be present during this time.
In accordance with NC-COVID19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering. Masks are required for all services.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to Sansom Community Church, P.O. Box 97 Dunn, NC 28335, Reference: Sharon Merritt Outreach Fund.
