Benson, NC: Mrs. Faye Finnstron Barber McLamb, age 84, of 6812 Elevation Road died Friday, September 13, 2019 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 6:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Officiating will be Dr. Elvin Butts and Dr. Ron Byrd. Graveside Service will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mrs. McLamb was born on May 27, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Wilber Finnstron and Ociadelle Johnson Barber. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Max Barber and Merwyn Barber. Mrs. McLamb was a retired administrative assistant with the NC Department of Motor Vehicles, NC Department of Public Instruction and the NC Legislature. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Christian Church, Benson, NC.
Surviving include her husband of 66 years, David C. “Billy” McLamb; children, Teresa Alphin and husband, Ernest of Dunn, Monty McLamb and wife, Kim of Benson, and Nicole Ritchie and husband, Michael of Four Oaks; grandchildren, Clinton Alphin, Nina and Ray Butts, Mitchell McLamb, Cliff McLamb, Anna Lia Ritchie; great-grandchildren, Courtney Butts and Ella Butts; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends immediately following the funeral service on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Monty and Kim McLamb, 5343 NC HWY 50 N. Benson, NC 27504.
