Smithfield – Nancy Faye Jones, age 80, passed away Sunday July 28, 2019 at her home in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County December 14, 1938 to the late Moses and Nancy Unetta Byrd Jones. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jones is also preceded in death by husband, Jimmy B Jones. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday July 30, 2019 2 PM at Hickory Grove Advent Christian with Rev. Bob Copeland and Rev. Eric Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow at Hills of the Neuse Cemetery. The family will receive visitors following burial at the cemetery as well as the home. Mrs. Jones is survived by son, Jamie Jones and wife Daisy of Smithfield; Daughters, Vickie DeHart and husband Will of Raleigh, Bonnie Medlin and husband Bill of Benson, Sandra Moore and husband Ronald of Smithfield, Bridget Carroll and husband Tony of Willow Spring; Sister, Dorette Sellers and husband Bill of Selma; Grandchildren, Trey Carroll and wife Jaime of Willow Spring, Bryant Carroll and Wife, Kara of Garner, Ashlyn DeHart, Kylie Medlin and fiancé, Nathan Arp of Smithfield, Zoey, Tripp, and Lyla Jones; Greatgrandchild, Ruth Grace Carroll. Mrs. Jones was a dedicated, lifelong member of Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church, and the Women’s Group. She enjoyed reading, walking at the medical mall, and being involved in all of her grandchildren’s activity’s. In lieu of flowers, Donations can be made to the Deacon fund at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church.
