Clayton – Frances Helen “Flossie” Seate Wilkins, age 96, died Monday evening, March 27, 2017 at her home. Born May 29, 1920 in Person County she was a daughter of the late James Lemuel and Otie Thomas Stigall Seate. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Wilkins; daughter, Gwendolyn Grace Wilkins Green Urquhart; and sisters, Goldie, Vernie, Lucille, Beatrice, and Juanita. Frances was a member of Baptist Center Church in Clayton. She was a beautician in Fuquay-Varina before becoming a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Darryl Sauls officiating. Burial will follow in Oakland Heights Cemetery in Smithfield. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Thursday just prior to the service.
Surviving are her son-in-law, Thoams Urquhart of Raleigh; grandson, John Richard Green, Jr. and wife Kirsty of Norfolk, VA; and great grandson, Jake Thomas Green.
