Four Oaks, NC: Mr. George Harold Adams, age 75, of Strickland’s Crossroads Road, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. Funeral Services will be 6:00PM, Thursday, July 29, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson, NC. Rev. Billy Nowell will officiate.
Mr. Adams was born March 6, 1946 in Johnston County to the late George Cleo and Eva Everette Adams. He was preceded in death by his sons, George Harold Adams, Jr, and Jesse Adams, sisters, Edith Moore, Wanda Boyette, Carolyn Williams and Edna Phipps, brother, Johnny Adams; and brothers-in-law, Tom Boyette, Sherrill Franklin Phipps, Sr, George Massengill, Sr., and Thomas Moore. Mr. Adams worked at Chicopee in Benson and also was a truck driver with Sherrill Phipps, Sr. Trucking, Inc.
Surviving include his sons, Myron Adams (Kathrine), Joshua Conely (Tiffany), grandchildren, Joshua Adams (Jessica), Anthony Adams, and Ava Conely; great-grandchildren, Marshall Adams and Noah Dale; sisters, Brenda Beasley (Morris), and Diane Massengill; sister-in-law, Ginger Adams and brother-in-law, James “Poodle” Williams; many special loving nieces and nephews.
The Family will receive friends immediately following the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
Flowers are welcomed; however, memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.
