Middlesex – George Wright Farnall, age 81, died Sunday morning, March 22, 2020 at his home. He was born October 12, 1938 in Palm Beach County, FL to the late George Parker and Margaret Gertrude Wright Farnall. George worked for many years in Belle Glade, FL as a Lieutenant with the police department before moving to Johnston County, NC. He worked at Devil Dog for a few months prior to going to work with Caterpillar in Clayton for 12 years. George was a member of Live Oak Baptist Church near Selma and loved to sing Karaoke as often as he could.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Selma Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Frankie Bass officiating. The family will receive friends at the home, 560 Crocker’s Nub Road, Middlesex, NC, Tuesday evening.
Surviving are his wife, Judy Norris Farnall; son, George Wright Farnall, Jr of Kenly; daughters, Tina Stevens and Jack of Vero Beach, FL and Dianne Kitchen and Patrick of Loxahatchee, FL; step-son, Chris Avery of Middlesex; step-daughter, Lara Capps and husband Barry of Wilmington; eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
