Gladys Strickland Johnson, 81, died on Saturday, August 18, 2018. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home.
She is survived by her daughters, Charlene Davis and husband Joe, Susan Marler and husband Gary; son, Brad Johnson; brothers, Glenn and Gerald Strickland; grandchildren, Alexandra Bennett, Jordan Marler, Charlie Davis, Sophia Ellavsky, Maya Ellavsky and Nikolai Ellavsky; five great grandchildren. In addition to ther parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Haywood Johnson; daughter, Caroline Ellavsky; brother, Bruce Strickland; and sister, Evelyn Strickland Ward.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association 2451 Crystal Drive, Suite 900 Arlington, VA 22202, or to Rock Spring Baptist Church 34 Rock Springs Church Rd, Louisburg, NC 27549.
