Golda Brady Gaskill

    Golda Brady Gaskill, age 84, of Selma passed away on September 4, 2018 at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born in Randolph County on June 23, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Jesse Hampton and Jettie Burgess Brady. Mrs. Gaskill was a music and kindergarten teacher in the Johnston County School System, retiring in 1994. She taught music at Princeton and Selma Elementary Schools. She also taught Kindergarten privately in her home as well as at Glendale Chapel and Kenly Elementary Schools. She was a member of Edgerton Memorial United Methodist Church in Selma.
    Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 7, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Clay Parker and Rev. Butch Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
    Surviving are her husband, Al Gaskill; daughters Angela Piper and husband Mike, Debbie Robinson and husband James, all of Selma; grandchildren Sarah Piper, Jordan Piper and wife Erica, Lauren and Austin Robinson; and great grandchildren Holden and Kade Piper.
