Grace Parnell Worley, 79, passed away at UNC Johnston Health Care on Saturday, January 18, 2020. She was born on January 29, 1940 in Johnston County to the late Kagie Gaston Parnell and Carrie Vaughn Parnell. She was also preceded in death by brothers, K. G. Parnell, Jr., Robert Parnell, and David Parnell; sisters, Margaret Meadow, Jessie Lee Outlaw, Avona Eason, Eloise Deans, Mildred Warren, and Jessie Brock.
The funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations with the Reverend Sandy Richardson and Reverend James Cole officiating. The burial will take place in Hastings Cemetery following the funeral service.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
She is survived by daughter, Rebecca Worley of Morrisville; brother, Bernice Parnell of Goldsboro; sister, Frances Woodard of Selma; granddaughters, Natasha Johnson, and Taylor Altidor; grandson, Michael Damion Matheny; great grandchildren, Omar, Layla, Athena, Christian, and Isabella; great great grandchildren, Luani and Jordan; and special nieces, Barbara Woodard, Donna Capps, Jennifer Capps, Wendy Walker, Janice Toler, Amber Capps, special friends, Melvine O’Neal, Shirley Hardison, Janice Massengill and Kevin Moore as well as other nieces and nephews.
