Coats, NC: Mr. Graham Young Turlington, age 90, of 1545 Fleming Road passed away Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Central Harnett Hospital in Lillington. Funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 20 , 2019 at Coats Baptist Church in Coats. Officiating will be Revs. Neal Thornton and Jesse Mooney. Burial will follow in Harnett Devotional Gardens in Dunn.
Mr. Turlington was born on November 2, 1928 in Harnett County to the late Lee A. and Lida Lassiter Turlington. He was preceded in death by his wife, Effie Beasley Turlington; sisters, Addie T. Young, Emily T. Weaver, Ruby T. Currin; a brother, Robert L. Turlington. Mr. Turlington retired after 43 years as a mail carrier for the U. S. Postal Service and was a farmer. He was a member of Coats Baptist Church where he served in many capacities.
Surviving include his sons, G. Jeff Turlington and wife, Tanya, D. Kent Turlington and wife, Debbie all of Coats; five grandchildren, Brandon Turlington and wife, Brandy, Nicole T. Raynor and husband, Brian, Dustin Turlington, Kyle Turlington and wife, Lucia, Kathryn Turlington; four great-grandchildren, Brendan Turlington, Sebastian Turlington, MaryMicheal Raynor, Luke Turlington; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 9:30AM-10:45AM Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in the Coats Baptist Church Fellowship Hall prior to the service.
