Harold Braxton Lee, age 82, of North Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, passed away peacefully at home following a period of declining health.
Born in Johnston County, North Carolina on October 30, 1937, he was the son of the late Wilson Harold Lee and the late Maxine Elliot Talton Jones. In addition to his significant other, Sterleen H. Bryson, Harold is survived by a son, Charles Wilson Lee (Theresa Masters) of Columbia, South Carolina, and stepchildren, Ralph Blaine Eicher (Patricia Durant) of Surf City, NC and Nan L. Jones of Smithfield, NC, 5 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.
Harold graduated from Smithfield High School in 1956 and continued his technical training at Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, Illinois. After serving in the United States Air Force, he spent his career as owner and operator of Harold’s TV Service in Smithfield. Harold enjoyed community service and volunteered many service hours to the Smithfield Lions Club. Two of his most beloved Lions Club accomplishments were serving on the local Lions Club Ambulance and his time spent at the Boys and Girls Home of North Carolina at Lake Waccamaw. Harold served the North Carolina Lion’s Club as a district governor and was a proud recipient of the John L. Stickley Memorial Award presented by Lions Club International.
Nothing pleased Harold more than hosting get-togethers with friends and family, including music, dancing, good food and great fellowship. His family and friends feel fortunate to have been part of his life and he will be missed by many.
A private, graveside service will be conducted at Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield on Sunday, September 6, 2020.
