Benson, NC: Mr. Harold Flynn Bowden, age 76, of 7643 Old Fairground Road died Tuesday at his residence. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Saturday at Prospect Free Will Baptist Church in Dunn. Officiating will be Revs. Phil Bowden and Rich Denning. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Mr. Bowden was born on September 26, 1940 in Harnett County to the late Dallas Floyd and Bessie Stewart Bowden. He was also preceded in death by wife, Linda Combs Bowden; son, Brent Bowden; brothers, Haywood Bowden, Jack Bowden, D.F. Bowden, Willie Sherrill Bowden and Evis Bowden; sisters, Doris Tart, Pat Denning and Edna Baker . Mr. Bowden was a retired carpenter and member of Prospect Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Anthony & Sarah Bowden of Benson; granddaughter & spouse, Heather & Brandon Kargol of Petoskey,Michigan; great grandson, Lincoln Kargol; sister, Lucille B. Steele; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM Friday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson.
