Kenly: Harold Ray Evans, 72, passed away Friday morning at home surrounded by his loving family.
Harold was born in Johnston County on May 26, 1946 to the late William Cecil and Ethel Barbee Evans. He was a member of Highland Independent Church in Wilson. Harold proudly served his country in the United States Army.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Kenly Funeral Service. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Monday, June 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Kenly Funeral Service with the Rev. Tommy Hagen officiating. Burial will follow in the Kenly Cemetery.
Harold is survived by his loving wife of forty nine years, Julia Baker Evans; son, Julian Ray Evans of Kenly; grandson, Joseph Ray Evans; brothers, Jimmy Evans and wife Joan of Kenly, Joe Evans of Wilson and Kenneth Wayne Evans and wife Elizabeth of Fayetteville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Carl Evans, Willie Doyle Evans, Cecil Glenn Evans; sisters, Peggy Ann Hooks, and Janice Faye Evans. .
