Dunn, NC: Mrs. Helen Beasley Cooke, age 82, passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at Cornerstone Nursing Home in Dunn. Funeral Service will be 4:00 PM Sunday, September 30, 2018 at Rose and Graham Funeral Chapel, in Coats, NC. Rev. Phillip Addison, II will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery.
Mrs. Cooke was born October 28, 1935 in Johnston County to the late Burchel and Roena Moore Beasley. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Andrew Garner Cooke; infant daughter; brother, Billy G. Beasley; and sister-in-law, Hilda Beasley. Mrs. Cooke was a seamstress for Terry Hill in Coats, NC.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Danny and Amber Cooke of Virginia, Andy and Juanita Cooke of Wilmington, NC, daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Ann and Phillip Addison of Dunn, NC, nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, brothers and sister-in-law, Orbie Beasley of Wilmington, NC, Donald and Linda Beasley of Benson, NC, sisters, Doris Chienhaw of Durham, NC, and Linda Wood of Wilmington, NC and seven nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM Sunday prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats.
