Mr. Irving Douglas Allen, age 75 transitioned on Friday April 17, 2020 while a resident at Kitty Askins Center in Goldsboro, NC. Mr. Allen was born January 21, 1945 in Johnston County, NC to Bernice and Leora Allen.
Mr. Allen attended Dillard High School, Johnston County Training School, where he graduated from. He attended Wayne Community College in Goldsboro and received an Associate Degree in Auto Mechanics.
Mr. Allen married Rev. Dr. Christine Allen in January of 1965 and they celebrated 55 years of marriage in 2020. He served as an Elder and Chairman of the Deacon Board at Mt. Zion Church of Deliverance.
Pastor Allen is requesting you not bring any food items, drinks or paper products to the home.
The family will have a private graveside service on Wednesday April 22. Due to the Covid-19 virus and social distancing restrictions only 25 persons will be allowed to attend services. Please be obedient, Pastor is asking for your prayers as the family mourns the death of their loved one.
