Selma – J. Martin Mendoza Miranda, age 70, passed away Saturday August 15, 2020 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. He was born in Cortazar, GTO, Mexico on November 12, 1949 to the late Felipe Mendoza and Luz Miranda. A funeral service will be in St. Ann Catholic Church in Clayton on Thursday August 20, 2020 at 12 PM. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Selma Memorial Gardens. Mr. Miranda is survived by wife, Evangelina Mendoza of the home; Sons, Felipe Mendoza, Martin Mendoza ;Daughters, Dulce Mendoza, Oliva Mendoza, Maria Mendoza; Brothers, Jose Mendoza, Jesus Mendoza; Sisters, Gloria Mendoza, Natividad Mendoza, Belem Mendoza, Veronica Mendoza, Maria Mendoza; Grandchildren, Nancy, Maricruz, Brenda, Merari, Marisol, Ariana, Luis, Miguel, Victor, Eleazar, Roberto, Javier; Great grandchildren, Emilio, Ezaac, Luna. Mr. Miranda was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Clayton and enjoyed fishing, listening to music, and being outdoors. The church ask that everyone in attendance wear a protective mask and be aware of social distancing practices.
