Four Oaks: Mr. James E. Stanley, age 85 of 3370 NC Hwy 96 South, died Thursday at Liberty Commons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Benson . Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Sunday at Faith Free Will Baptist Church, Four Oaks. Rev. Donnie Massey and Rev. Billy Nowell will officiate. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
Mr. Stanley was born on August 21, 1932 in Johnston County to the late Rev. James Walter and Mozelle Lee Stanley. He was preceded in death by brothers, Lloyd Stanley and Bobby Stanley. Mr. Stanley was a US Air Force veteran and was a retired supervisor over manufacturing. He was a member of Faith Free Will Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Sibyl H. Stanley of Four Oaks; daughter, Barbara S. Norris of Four Oaks; son and daughter-in-law, Randy Stanley and wife, Tammy of Benson; daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon Stanley Stover and husband, David of Smithfield, Michelle Stanley Johnson and husband, Michael of Clayton; five grandchildren, Ashley Stanley and wife Crystal, Joshua Johnson, Zachary Johnson, Jonathan Johnson and Grace Stover; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00 PM to 2:45PM in the church fellowship hall.
