Selma – James Edward Crocker, age 80, died early Monday, January 30, 2017 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born March 13, 1936 in Johnston County he was a son of the late John Gaston and Sylvia Eason Crocker. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Edwards Crocker; brother, Linward Crocker; and granddaughter, Reagan Elizabeth Crocker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Buddy Sasser officiating. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday just prior to the service.
Surviving are his son, Ronald Edward Crocker and wife Paulette of Selma; daughter, Rita Shiflett and husband Tom of Selma; and grandchildren, Coty Shiflett and Katie Pippin and husband Richard.
