Princeton – James Everette Brown, age 80, died Friday afternoon in the SECU Hospice House. He was born April 18, 1937 in Johnston County to the late Barney M. and Ola May Overbee Brown. Mr. Brown was a retired Radio Engineer with the Department of Corrections and attended the Temple Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Monday, April 24, 2017 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Gaskins officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. just prior to the service. Burial service will take place in the Hills of the Neuse Memory Gardens at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday.
Surviving are his wife, Hilda Capps Brown; sons, Doug Brown and wife Trish of Clayton, Wayne Brown and wife Cindy of Benson and Tim Brown and wife Vicki of Wilson’s Mills; brother, Bobby Brown and wife Faye of Pine Level; sister, Dorothy Jean Johnson of Smithfield; nine grandchildren, Matthew Brown and wife Ashley, Dylan Brown, Jennifer Brown, Amanda Brown, Ashley McLamb, Scott Jernigan, T. J. Brown, Anna Grace Brown and Allen Brown and three great grandchildren, Aubree Brown, Hayden Tart and Scarlett Jernigan.
