Benson, NC: Mr. James “Jim” Allen Gallagher, 73, of 117 Sycamore Ct. died Monday at his residence. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM Thursday at New Hope Alliance Church on 2642 Old Fairground in Angier. Officiating will be Mr. Dale Morgan, Mr. Randy Byrd and Mr. Larry Jones.
Mr. Gallagher was born September 16, 1943 in Butler County, Pennsylvania to the late James Floyd and Nettie Gray Gallagher. He was also preceded in death by three sisters. Mr. Gallagher retired after 33 years as a steel worker for Shenango Incorporated and was also a member of New Hope Alliance Church, Angier.
Surviving are wife of 53 years, Virginia “Ginny” Gallagher; children and spouses, Christine Gallagher of Florida and Michael and Stacey Gallagher of Holly Springs; grandchildren, Madison Synclair Gallagher, Kilee Cecil, Isabelle Cecil and Joseph Cecil; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends in the Church Fellowship Hall Thursday one hour prior to the service.
