Willow Spring, NC: Mr. James Ray “JR” Stephenson, age 54, of 3454 Sanders Road died Wednesday September 20, 2017 at Transitions Life Care in Raleigh surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Service will be 3:00 PM Monday at Rose & Graham Funeral Home Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. Chris Searles and Brandon Teachey. Burial will follow in Johnson Memorial Church Cemetery, Angier.
Mr. Stephenson was born on September 27, 1962 in Harnett County to Thurma Evans Stephenson of Benson and the late James Graham Stephenson. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Bryan Edmonston. Mr. Stephenson owned and operated Mule City Rods and attended Johnson Memorial PFWB Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother; are his wife of 17 years, Tammy B. Stephenson; children and spouses, Brandy Womack and husband, Bobby of Florida, Emily Edmondston of Florida, Sierra Rae Stephenson of Benson, Valerie Stephenson and husband, Jeff of Florida, Kyle Brewington and wife, Sandra of Benson; twelve grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Tammy S. Stanley and husband, Randy of Benson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM – 2:30PM Monday prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home.
