Janice Gower Peedin, age 78, of Selma passed away on February 18, 2017 at Johnston Medical Center. Born in Johnston County on July 4, 1938, she was the daughter of the late James Bryant and Ophelia Capps Gower. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy E. Peedin and a daughter, Bobbi Maria Peedin. Mrs. Peedin was an Insurance Agent for many years affiliated with Colonial Life and Nationwide Insurance Companies. She was a member of Pine Level Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 21, at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home in Selma with burial following in Bizzell Grove Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friend at the funeral home Tuesday from 10-11 AM, just prior to the service.
Surviving are her son, Tim Peedin and wife Robin of Mocksville; her daughter, Tami Summerour and husband John of Old Fort; and grandchildren Leanna Peedin Pierce and husband Landon and Nick Peedin.
