Benson, NC: Mrs. Janice “Trouble” L. Sutton, age 63 of Tarheel Road, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at UNC Johnston Health Hospital in Smithfield. Graveside Services will be held 2:00PM Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Young Family Cemetery in Benson. Officiating will be Pastor Eddie White.
Mrs. Sutton was born in Michigan on November 17, 1956 to the late Rudolph and Frances Ward Leonard. She worked in the restaurant business.
Surviving are her husband of 25 years, R. C. Sutton of Benson; children, Stephanie Jane Russo of Shallotte, Patrick Shannon Russo of Smithfield, Alicia Maria Wood of Benson, Harley Preston Sutton of Clayton; seven grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Leonard of Whiteville, NC, Carolyn Runkle and husband, Joe of Hartsville, NC; brother, Marvin Leonard of Shallotte; several nieces and nephews.
In accordance with NC-COVID-19 guidelines, the funeral home suggests practicing social distancing guidelines and the three W’s: wait, wash, and wear a face covering.
