Kenly – Janice Marcom, age 69, of Kenly, passed away peacefully on February 18, 2019 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Janice was born full of love and life to the late William and Lillie Parnell of Kenly. Janice was a loving sister and aunt. Her door was always open to anyone who needed her. She loved gardening and decorating but most of all she loved her family.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 20, 2019 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening just prior to the service.
She is survived by her brothers, Leland Parnell of Clayton, Wayne Parnell and wife Debbie of Wilson, and Keith Parnell and significant other Connie of Wilson. Her sister Becky Edwards and husband James. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Parnell; and her sisters, Linda Faye Tripp, Patsy Holmes, and Barbara Stewart.
