Jean Peele Marlow, age 74, passed away unexpectedly on October 9, 2021. Born in Johnston County on November 17, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Sydney and Marjorie Youngblood Peele and was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Marlow. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Jean was an honored lifetime member of the Neuse Little Theatre having performed in her first production in 1976. She loved to sing and to serve. She spent the last day of her earthly life serving others. Her Joy in life was infectious, and we know that her faith has finally become sight.
The family will receive friends at Temple Baptist Church on Wednesday from 1 to 3 pm followed by funeral services at 3 pm. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.
Surviving are her son, Hubert Lee Marlow and wife Sherry of Willow Spring; sister, Ann Earp of Selma; grandchildren, Christopher Whitley, Matthew Marlow and wife Erin, Andrew Marlow and wife Kristi and Adam Marlow; and great grandchildren, Noah Whitley, Sophia Marlow, Alayna Marlow, Nora Marlow and Eden Marlow; and several nieces and nephews.
