Jerry Parnell, Sr., 80, of Panama City, joined his wife Jean in Heaven on Thursday, March 11, 2021. He passed away peacefully at home with his loved ones by his side.
Jerry was born on June 27, 1940 in Micro, NC, to Harvies and Grace Parnell. He was one of nine children. Jerry retired to Panama City, FL after 20 years serving his country in the U.S. Air Force. In his spare time, Jerry loved fishing and teaching his grandson, James, how to fish; spending time with his dogs and watching his grandson play baseball as he was growing up. He was especially proud that James was following in his footsteps and had joined the Coast Guard, where he is now a Chief. Jerry was a loving father, husband, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was very much loved and will be missed dearly.
Jerry was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Roselyn Jean Parnell; his sisters, Eloise Anderson, Evelyn Anderson, Virginia Evans, Novenne Hoell, Claire Boykin, and Janet Langston; and brother, Bill Parnell.
Those left to treasure his memory are his children, Daphney Hinz (Gary) and Jerry Parnell, Jr. (Debbie); sister, Judy P. Worley (Danny); grandson, James Enfinger, Jr. (Sara); great-grandchildren, Miles Enfinger, Levi Enfinger; and his beloved dog Anna.
