    Four Oaks – Mr. Johnny Pisula Stanley, age 69, died on February 2, 2021 at the North Carolina State Veterans Home in Fayetteville, NC. Johnny was born on June 7, 1951 in Johnston County, the son of Mary Lee Stanley. He was preceded in death by his dear friend, Larry Massengill and wife Linda, as well as many other friends.

    Mr. Stanley was a US Marine Corp. combat veteran, serving two tours in Vietnam. Upon returning from Vietnam, he worked in the logging industry. When Johnny was not working he had many hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, telling war stories, and spending time with his friends and their families. You would often find Johnny hanging out at one of the local country stores around his Four Oaks community. He enjoyed the conversations and company of the people he would often find in these stores. He enjoyed helping others whenever needed.

    Surviving are: Larry Eugene Massengill, Rodney (Sandy), Joshua and Julia Massengill, Denise, Hailee and Bryson Jernigan and Joyce Rinehart. Also left to cherish his memories are several close friends he made over the years and their families.
