John William Taylor, 79, of Goldsboro passed away on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at his home. He was born February 4, 1940 to the late Leon Bryant Taylor and Sudie Mae Worley Taylor. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Donald Lee Taylor. A funeral service is planned for Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations along with a brief committal service with the Reverend Franklin Lane officiating. A private burial will be held in Princeton Cemetery after the service.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am until 12:00 noon in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations on Saturday, October, 19, 2019.
John attended Niagra Church. He played several instruments and sang with “Living Waters” gospel group for many years. He enjoyed spreading the gospel with their many performances at revivals, homecomings and special events.
He is survived by a son, John Glenn Taylor of Raleigh; daughter, Sonya Jo Macsovich of Downer’s Grove, Illinois; brother, Earl Bryant Taylor and wife, Jean of Goldsboro; sisters, Peggy Taylor Thornton of Kinston and JoAnne Taylor Kennedy of Goldsboro; special friend, JoAnn Taylor and the Barbour Family and 3 grandchildren.
