Benson, NC: Mr. Johnny Lindon “J.L.” Benson, age 73, of NC 50 South died Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Friday, November 2, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Benson. Officiating will be Revs. C.H. Lee and Leon Tart. Burial will follow in Roselawn Cemetery in Benson.
Mr. Benson was born September 16, 1945 in Johnston County to the late John Rolon and Eloise Jackson Benson. He was also preceded in death by his son, Johnny Travis Benson and sister, Tammy Benson Allen. Mr. Benson was a farmer and also owned and operated Benson Tree Stump Service.
Surviving are wife of 51 years, Priscilla Austin Benson; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Denise Benson of Benson; grandson, Patrick Glen Benson; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM – 8:00PM, Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Benson and other times at the home of Tony and Denise Benson, 613 Surles Road, Benson, NC 27504.
