Jose Luis Alvarez, age 56, passed away at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh on March 17, 2017. Born in Mexico on June 30, 1960, he has been employed by Paradise Homes for many years.
Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, March 21 at 12:00 noon in St. Ann’s Catholic Church between Smithfield and Clayton. Burial will follow in Selma Memorial Gardens in Selma. The family will receive friends at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma Monday from 6 to 8 PM.
Surviving are his wife Rosa Maria Coyt; sons, Oscar Alvarez and wife Ana Belen Vargas, Jose Manuel Alvarez and wife Maria Zavala, and Luis Daniel Alvarez; parents Jose Alvarez Aguilar and Angela Sanchez;
daughters Norma Angelica Alvarez and husband Gensy Arreaga, Martha Patricia Alvarez and husband Victor Amezquita; brothers Julio Alvarez, Jorge Alvarez, Carlos Alvarez and Francisco Alvarez; sisters Teresa Alvarez, Hilda Alvarez, Imelda Alvarez, Elvia Alvarez and Patricia Alvarez; and grandchildren Anna Gabriela Alvarez, Miguel Angel Alvarez, Oscar Alvarez, Victor Jesus Amezquita, Jose Daniel Amezquita, Andrea Belen Alvarez, Joel Rodriguez, Hailey Arreaga, Jacob Carranza, and Juliah Carranza.
