Joseph Pete House, 75, passed away peacefully Saturday morning at his home.
Joe was born in Johnston County on December 19, 1942. He was a member of Little Rock Free Will Baptist Church. At one time he was employed with Swift and Company and Dinner Bell. He was owner of House’s Mobile Home Park. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, fishing and spending time at the beach with his family.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am at Kenly Funeral Services. A service to celebrate his life will be at 11:00 am in the Chapel with Dr. De Wayne Eakes officiating. Burial will follow in the Upper Black Creek Church Cemetery.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of fifty-six years, Faye Lucas House, daughter, Juanita House McArtan of Cary, brother, Eugene House (Betty) of Kenly, grandchildren Jonathan McArtan, Andrew McArtan (Hannah), Karyn Shinn (Daniel), Caroline McArtan, Laura McArtan, great-grandchildren Mackenzie McArtan, Kendyll Shinn. Several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde Lee, Simon and Jerry House and sister Marjorie Davis.
