Selma – Josephine Pilkington Capps, age 89, died Wednesday, November 20, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family. Born September 17, 1930 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Albert and Ila Strickland Pilkington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Henry Capps; brother, Albert Pilkington, Jr.; and sister, Faye P. Parker. Josephine was a faithful member of Smithfield Church of God where she attended as long as her health permitted.
Surviving are her sons, Larry Earl Capps of Benson and Don Capps of Selma; daughter, Sandra Kay Langston of Selma; six grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren, and several great great grandchildren.
A private family burial will be held in Selma Memorial Gardens at a later date.
