Smithfield – Josephine Lasater Phillips, daughter of the late Herbert and Olliebell Ferrell Lasater passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at the age of 78. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at 2:00pm in the chapel of McLaurin Funeral Home with the interment following at Pinecrest Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 11th from 6:00 – 8:00pm at McLaurin Funeral Home.
Surviving are her sons, Bruce Harper and his wife, Tonya of Smithfield, Scott Harper and his wife, Cynthia of Clayton, Timmy Harper and his wife, Katie of Angier, Michael Harper and his wife, Kim of Selma, Greg Harper and his wife, Rose of Benson; daughter-in-law, Carol Harper of Selma; 18 beloved grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her 6 siblings; her son, Tommy Harper and a great granddaughter, Madison Harper.
