Joseph Henry Jackson, 81, of Kenly passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his home. He was born January 13, 1936 to the late John Tart Jackson and Emma Doris Godwin Scott. He is preceded in death by a sister, Christine Wilson. The funeral service will be held at Fellowship United Methodist Church on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 3:00 pm with the burial to follow in the church cemetery. Reverend Eric Packard, Reverend Dennis Pollock and Reverend Jim Huskins will be officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Julia Pollard Jackson; son, Donald Jackson of Kenly; daughter, Teresa Holloman of Kenly; 4 grandchildren, Krystal McArthur and husband, Bobby, William Jackson and wife, Jennifer, Christina Jackson and Tiffany Gooding; 2 great grandchildren, Summer Gooding, and Noah McArthur.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 at Fellowship United Methodist Church on Tuesday evening, October 17, 2017.
