Joyce McGee Southerland, 89, daughter of the late Alton and Floy McGee died on Thursday, May 31, 2018 at home with her family. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Wilson’s Mills Baptist Church with Rev. Billie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
She is survived by her sons, Anthony (Tony) Southerland and wife Beverly of Clayton, Timothy (Tim) Southerland and wife Ann of Clayton; a daughter, Nancy Southerland Wise and husband James of Clayton; Grandchildren, Robert (Robbie) D. Southerland and wife April, Heather N. Southerland, Michael D. Southerland and wife Kristy, Jaime Southerland Ackley and husband Randy, Kelly Southerland Summers and husband Jason, April Joy Wise, Jonathan E. Wise and Jane Margaret Wise; 7 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild; sisters, Alice McGee Cox and Mavis McGee Johnson; one brother, Kenneth T. McGee; sisters-in-laws, Margaret Southerland Driver and Ann Southerland Ballenger.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph (JD) Southerland; siblings, James McGee, Robert McGee, Derle McGee, Gene McGee, Annie Merle Hodges and Brenda Taylor.
