Four Oaks, NC: Mr. Junius Russell Lee, age 87 of 851 Old School Road died Saturday at UNC Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC. A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Four Oaks. Rev. John Norman will officiate.
Mr. Lee was born on July 15, 1930 in Johnston County to the late Harvey and Martha Massengill Lee. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Myrtle Parrish and Margaret Goodwin, brothers, Rev. Haywood Lee, H.M. Lee and Billy Lee. Mr. Lee was a retired banker with Wachovia and Citizens Bank of Murphy. He was also a US Army Veteran and member of First Baptist Church of Four Oaks.
Surviving are wife of 61 years, Jean Moore Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan Russell and Cherie Lee of Wilmington; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer Lee and Jerry Raper of Murphy; grandchildren, Emily Raper, Stephanie Raper, Ashley Raper, Samantha Lee and William Jacob Russell Lee; step-grandchildren, Danielle Murphree and Rachel Murphree and great-granddaughter, Chavi Cloonan; sisters, Lois Bowen of Virginia and Rebecca Lee Holt of Four Oaks; many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 9:30 AM-10:45 AM Wednesday prior to the service in the church sanctuary.
