Selma- Katherine Lee Boyette, age 80, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on Monday, December 30, 2019. Born November 13, 1939 to the late Robert Bruce Lee and Alice Hooks Lee. She is preceded in death by her husband Gradie Boyette and brother Tony Lee. The character of her life can be summed up as: caring and compassionate, gracious, hardworking, and determined. She was a peace maker and daughter of God.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at Selma Baptist Church with pastor Todd Daniels officiating and an internment at Rains Crossroads FWB Church cemetery. The Family will receive visitors at the home of Mrs. Katherine in Selma.
Mrs. Katherine is survived by her son J.J. “Jay” Stephenson Jr. and wife Shannon of Kansas, daughter Leah Wallace and husband Blake of Wallace, daughter Tiffiney Boyette of Selma, sister in law Susan Lee of Minnesott Beach, sister Alice Turney and husband Bob of Manteo, grandchildren Wells and Joe Wallace, Natasha Towery, Lindsey Stansbury, Madison Conaway, Dylan Stephenson, and Curtis Wiggs, great grandchildren; Cabela , Kimber, and Sterling Stansbury, special friend J.A. Creech,many nieces, nephews and cousins.
